Wondering if something can be done with my 2003 Jetta?

Ok so I bought my 2003 jetta 1.8t used from Vordermans VW in Fort Wayne, IN back in late 2007 with 82,000 miles and a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. Ever since I have owned in it has been nothing but problems, I have spent over 2600 dollars on repairs alone on the car, none of which was ever covered under Vorderman's supposed warranty. So I did some research in the cars history after the airbag cover started falling off and in 2005 it appears the car was in an accident as the suspension was fixed the body was realigned, the car was repainted, and the windshield was replaced. Although the car fax report showed no previous accidents. Ok so my question to you guys is should I just sell the car, keep it and hope it has no more problems, or is there some legal action that could be taken such as lemon law or car fax buy back. I have done Research in to the lemon law and cant find any concrete answers regarding it's application on used cars.

My suggestion is that you contact both the state office of consumer affairs that overseas dealership licensing issues and the Carfax people.

If you have been able to verify the issue of damage that has been repaired, you may have a case for some re-imbursement from Carfax.
Sorry to say, in both cases you should consult legal advice as to further proceedings.   I am not an attorney, I do not live in your state, nor am I an expert in legal affairs.

It may cost some money, but good legal counsel is strongly suggested for you to try and obtain some reimbursement for your expenses.

Best wishes always, a car nut.

I had this problem just a few weeks ago actually (Horrible situation). Anyways.. I had a jetta that was sold to me from another dealership.. Like yours there was no information on Carfax and I assumed everything was fine. Here's what I would do.. :)
1. Find out how much the car is worth/how much you can sell it for
2. Go by a carmax and see how much they would offer.. often times they offer more than regular dealers.
3. Honestly it will take you months to sell the car by yourself.. so seriously look into trading it in (Only if they are willing to pay the car off/not charge you)
4. Get a VW CERTIFIED PRE_OWNED CAR please!!!! you benefit off of the people who spent $$$$$$$$$ in maintenance costs at the dealership.
5. Shop around.. Do not jump on the first offer..

I ended up trading my car in.. and I now have an 05 Jetta 2.5L which has been great..
